Product Code:SAE AMS5529
Title:Steel, Corrosion Resistant, Sheet and Strip, 17Cr - 7.1Ni - 1.1Al, Solution Heat Treated and Cold Rolled, Precipitation Hardenable, 0.0015 to 0.050 Inch (0.038 to 1.27 mm) Nominal Thickness
Issuing Committee:Ams F Corrosion Heat Resistant Alloys Committee
Scope:This specification covers a corrosion-resistant steel in the form of sheet and strip 0.0015 to 0.050 inch (0.038 to 1.27 mm) in nominal thickness. These products have been used typically for parts such as springs requiring corrosion resistance and high strength up to 600 掳F (316 掳C), but usage is not limited to such applications.Strength of these cold-worked products will be impaired if parts are welded during fabrication.ertain design and processing procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP1110 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
